Requirements


You are required to meet the below mentioned requisites before registering in an RN school.

  • Candidates less than 18 years are not eligible for this program.
  • Proficiency in English language is imperative.
  • Criminal background and drug test must be cleared.
  • Students are eligible to apply for RN program only after completing high school education.
  • Residency verification form should be submitted along with a valid photo ID.
  • Involvement in any felony or wrong doing can cancel your registration.
  • Student should present level one fingerprint clearance card.
  • Pass TEAS- Test of Essential Academic Skills, if required by the concerned institute.

Education/Courses

RN programs train you for various nursing roles. The pathways for RN licensure are as follows:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing: An associate degree builds competent nurses who can deliver safe, effective and patient-centered services in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and other health-care facilities. It is a two-year degree program that prepares nurses for entry-level roles as an RN. 
  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing: BSN is a comprehensive degree that takes four years to prepare an aspirant to work in a challenging health care sector. The broad ranging curriculum assists them to develop a sound theoretical base and proficiency in clinical practices.
  • Direct Entry MSN Program: Direct entry MSN degree is uniquely designed for those individuals who hold a non-nursing degree and have a desire to work in a nursing field. This program offers master degree in a short period of time. The course of study involved in this will equip you with the knowledge and skills required to start a career in nursing.  
  • Accelerated BSN Degree: Second degree BSN program which lasts for 16 months, is the fast-track way to start a progressive and lucrative profession. It is basically for those individuals who are not from a nursing background, posses a bachelor degree, and want to begin a career in medical field in a very short duration.
  • LPN to RN: Licensed practical nurses can advance their education as well as their position by pursuing LPN to RN programs. With the help of this program, LPNs can use their previously earned credits in order to become a registered nurse. 
  • RN to BSN Program: RN to BSN bridge program is designed exclusively for RNs who either hold an associate degree or diploma in nursing. It prepares nurses for advancement by offering an innovative and comprehensive curriculum of study.

Graduates from above programs are eligible for NCLEX-RN examination to earn a license so as to work as an RN.

  • Master of Science in Nursing: Master degree is formulated for those RNs who wish to become an advanced practice nurse. The inclusive curriculum of this program will polish your decision-making, diagnostic reasoning, analytical skills, critical thinking, leadership and assessment skills that make you a highly skilled and competent nurse in a specialized area.  
  • Doctor of Nursing Practices (DNP): DNP degree prepares nurses for leadership roles in a progressively more complex environment of care delivery.
